Chief Keef’s chum Lil Reese got caught napping by Chicago Police this weekend, and they arrested the Def Jam rapper after realizing he was wanted on a Champaign County warrant.The Downstate charges are connected to a Feb. 1, 2012, incident that has led to charges of criminal trespass, mob action and battery, according to Champaign County court records. Officials there refused Sunday to provide more information about the case, and neither Lil Reese nor his representatives could be reached for comment.The rap star made a brief appearance in Cook County court on Sunday.Cook County records show 20-year-old Lil Reese, whose real name is Tavares Taylor, was caught sleeping in a vehicle in the 4400 block of South Wells early Sunday morning. Police ran his name and found the warrant. Records show it was issued Thursday and bail was set at $100,000.Those records also show the rapper was picked up April 13 in the 6600 block of Wentworth for driving without insurance or a license.Lil Reese rose to stardom along with South Side rappers Chief Keef and Lil Durk, who got caught up in a feud with their late Englewood rival Joseph “Lil JoJo” Coleman.The day Lil JoJo was killed, he made a video of what’s purported to be a street confrontation with Lil Reese. Someone on the video is heard saying, “I’m a kill you.” Chief Keef later made headlines when his Twitter account displayed a mocking tweet reacting to Lil JoJo’s murder.
